Some cats have 2 names because they have been renamed when found a permanent home.

QUINCY (above) was born around April 2007 and was picked up as a stray covered in fleas. The right hand picture shows him with his companion kitten Mushu. Click to see Quincy with his new family.
RUPERT (above) was born about 2002. He is a lovely long haired brown and white boy. His owners just didn't want him any more and left him to fend for himself. All the neighbours in the area where feeding him and contacted Paws to help as his fur was very matted. He is now in the loving tender care of a Paws for Life home ....for life.
ROCCO (above) is FIV+ve and was about to be put to sleep even though he was young, born about 2005-6 (2-3 years old on arrival). Click here for more photos of Rocco.

ROSIE (black & white, above) was abandoned with her companion Lily and they were left to live outside as best they could. Rosie is very friendly and likes to roll on her back. She is very playful and is thought to have been born late 2006. She and Lily have a Paws for Life home together. Click for more photos of Rosie.

RALPH (above) was born early 2008 and he likes to play tricks. He is a sweet natured boy but he can get a bit naughty when the mood takes him. He had to be the only cat in the house and have plenty of room to burn up all his energy.
Our other RALPH (above) was born in 1995 and needed a new home. when his owners had to move and couldn't take him with them. He has beautiful markings to his coat.
RHUBARB, (renamed Ruby, above) is said to have been born in 1988 but she does not look her age, though she is almost blind. Her first owner died and her next owner could not keep her because she was bullied by another cat in the home. Click here for more photos of this affectionate cat who is known as Rumbling Ruby because she is either purring, growling, or snoring!
ROXY (above) and his and his friend Tigger had to be found a new home when their owner emigrated. They were born in 2004.
RODNEY (above) was born 2003-4 and he likes his home comforts. Rodney is a really big boy who is FIV+ve. Click here for another photo of Rodney.
ROLO (above) came from another facility for special needs cats. He was born about 2007. He had to have his front leg amputated due to severe damage caused by his collar. He needed time and patience to overcome his time on the streets, let alone the terrible injury he has suffered. This is a prime example of what can happen when a collar is put on too loose. It can get wedged under the armpit. Collars should have no more than one finger's breadth between collar and cat and should be regularly checked for adjustment. Click here for more photos of Rolo.

The very pretty cat above is called ROSALIND, born January 2010.  She had a problem, possibly a virus, which affected her back legs.

Another ROSIE (above) who is thought to have been born about 1995. She had been living rough for about 4 months and was very malnourished. She was diagnosed hyperthyroid. She is a very affectionate cat who has lots of energy and loves her funny half hours. Click here for more photos of Rosie.
