QUINCY (above) was born around April 2007 and was picked up as a stray covered in fleas. The right hand picture shows him with his companion kitten Mushu. Click to see Quincy with his new family. |
RALPH (above) was born early 2008 and he likes to play tricks. He is a sweet natured boy but he can get a bit naughty when the mood takes him. He had to be the only cat in the house and have plenty of room to burn up all his energy. |

RUBY, (formerly Rhubarb, above) is said to have been born in 1988 but she does not look her age, though she is almost blind. Her first owner died and her next owner could not keep her because she was bullied by another cat in the home. Click here for more photos of this affectionate cat who is known as Rumbling Ruby because she is either purring, growling, or snoring! |

The very pretty cat above is called ROSALIND, born January 2010. She had a problem, possibly a virus, which affected her back legs. |

ROLO (above) came from another facility for special needs cats. He was born about 2007. He had to have his front leg amputated due to severe damage caused by his collar. He needed time and patience to overcome his time on the streets, let alone the terrible injury he has suffered. This is a prime example of what can happen when a collar is put on too loose. It can get wedged under the armpit. Collars should have no more than one finger's breadth between collar and cat and should be regularly checked for adjustment. Click here for more photos of Rolo. |
RUFIO (aka Machete, above) was a stray cat desperately trying to find a home of his own. He is estimated to have been born between 1998 and 2001. He really likes cuddles and has a very sweet nature. He has been named Rufio after one of the lost boys. Click here for another photo of Rufio. |

Left - this old gent, RUDY, was handed over to a vets in London as a stray, date of birth estimated at 1995-6. He is incredibly affectionate, and a confirmed social butterfly with dogs and cats. He is hyperthyroid and needs treatment. Many vets only keep strays for seven days then if they are not claimed or no home is found, they are put to sleep - but Paws for Life found Rudy a home. Another pic of Rudy here. |
