Lovely AMBER (above) was born about 2004. Less often seen in females than in males, Amber is FIV+ve. She has also had a front leg removed. Amber is a very friendly cat. She came to us from a well known charity which kills FIV+ve cats. Click here for more photos of Amber. |
ATHENS (above) needed a new home when his owners started a family. He was born in 2000.
|
ALFIE (above) is a lovely fluffy FIV+ve boy born September 1998. He is very affectionate and loves to sit on a lap. His original owner went abroad and Alfie had 2 temporary homes before coming into the care of Paws for Life. Click here for more photos of Alfie. |

ALFIE (formerly Jet, above) is FIV+ve, and very friendly. He will grab your arm and roll all over the floor.......very playful. He is a cat with a dominant personality. Alfie was born about 2005. |
Our other ALFIE's estimated year of birth is 2006-7. He has painful joints, not usually seen in such a young cat. We think he may have been involved in a road traffic accident and his injuries were not treated. Click here for another photo of Alfie. |

AXCEL (above) was born about 2007. He is a delightful cat who just wants to be loved. Sadly he was abandoned by his owners. |
ARTHUR (formerly Mumford, above) was born April/ May 2011 and has one grey and one blue eye. He was abandoned and was about to be killed because he has Cerebellar Hypoplasia. Cats like Arthur can still have a good quality of life so there is no need to euthanase them. Arthur just needed someone who understands his condition. He can use a litter tray but needs a very shallow one so he can get in and out of it. He also needs shallow, sturdy food bowls. He is currently being kept in a pen when the owner is out and is quite happy to drink out of a water bottle like rabbits do. This stops him from knocking it over. As he gets older, his legs should gain more strength, especially if he can run around, but he will never walk properly. He is a cheeky chap who loves to play (not quite a lap cat yet but what kittens are!) He is affectionate and as soon as he hears a voice or he is approached he purrs and tries to get closer to you. At this point he will still bite and try to claw a bit but he is of course only playing and just hasn't learnt it hurts us for him to play like that. As he has no litter mates to teach him any different it's to be expected. |
