Declawing involves removing the toe to the first joint. It causes the kitten excruciating pain when the anaesthetic wears off. Safe painkillers for cats are not very effective.

........and if you say "that's different" you should find another home for your cat with someone who will be kind, not cruel.....and we wonder how you can sleep at night.
It's not "all right" because veterinarians agree to do it. Vets do it to make money, and it makes a mockery of any oath they have sworn not to harm animals.
